Floating Stars 2023

Our week one was choosing our fabrics so we will start here at week 2. This week we will be cutting a few large pieces that will be set aside for later in the project, and a few strips for next week.

Today we will be talking about basic sewing techniques for quilting and making our first pieced unit of the Floating Stars quilt.

Today we will be sewing the Non-mirror image Combination units of the Floating Stars quilt.

This week we will be making our sashing units that will create the tiny stars between our blocks.

So since we messed up our pattern a bit on our first take of week 10's video, we re-did our week 10 video... This time the correct way lol. So make sure to watch this video so you don't make the same mistakes as us.

Week 11 of our Sew Along making the Floating Stars quilt, we will be squaring up our quilt and adding borders. DO NOT SKIP THIS VIDEO, trimming down the quilt is an important step!
